Wedding and Reception: Magnolia Manor Plantation Bed & Breakfast, Warrenton, NC
Disc Jockey and Master of Ceremonies: All Around Raleigh DJ, Raleigh, NC
Balloon Décor: Twisted Entertainers, Asheboro, NC
Earlier this month, I was lucky enough to photograph Dayna and Daniel’s wedding at Magnolia Manor in Warrenton, North Carolina. Set in the North Carolina Piedmont countryside, and with a history stretching back to 1859, it is a truly fantastic location oozing with character and ambience.
From the moment I saw the house nestled in its 13 acres of green pasture and pecan groves, I knew I was in for a treat. Sheila and Larry, the owners, have done a great job renovating the house and their attention to detail was also evident with the planning of the entire wedding from florals through to the cake and, of course, accommodation.
With Plan A being an outdoor ceremony, the fact the weather was threatening thunderstorms all day kept us all on our toes. Thankfully, Larry did a fantastic job of keeping tabs on the radar before making the call to go ahead with the ceremony outside versus Plan B in the barn. Thanks to his planning, the thunderstorm hit right on cue when all the guests and the bridal party had processed into the reception venue. As soon as the intros were finished and the first dance started, the heavens opened!
Eric from All Around Raleigh DJ, did a fantastic job of providing music for the ceremony and then kicked the party off with some great tunes that kept the party rocking till well past closing time. The “Alice in Wonderland” themed balloons provided by Twisted Entertainers were a great touch and they made an entry onto the dance floor around 10:30, whereby the party kicked into another gear completely. A fun time was had by all indeed!
Lastly, a big thanks to Dayna and Daniel and all their friends for being such a brilliant group of people to work with. I wish you all the very best for the future and hope to see you again soon.
Anyway, here are a few of my faves from the day…
