Being asked to shoot a wedding for anybody is always an honour; being asked to shoot the wedding of another wedding photographer is a nerve-wracking honour! And so it was with a mixture of excitement and trepidation that I accepted my friend Peter Forman‘s request to photograph his wedding for him and his fiancée, Jess.
We’d only really met briefly last year at Cliff Mautner’s Lighting and Skillset Bootcamp in Philly, and so I was very surprised and flattered when Peter called me back in February to ask me about my availability.
I was doubly pleased to be assisted on the big day by another workshop buddy, the extremely talented Anya Roudenko of AnyaFoto. It was great catching up, seeing her in action and experimenting a little bit. She has a very different style to mine, but one I admire very much indeed.
The wedding day itself was very British with its grey and rainy weather, but that didn’t dampen the fantastic mood of the bride and groom and their friends and family. In fact, it was one of the most fun weddings I have had the pleasure of covering. Things definitely got interesting on the dance floor as the night progressed!
Here are just a few of my personal faves from the day:
