Back at the start of June, I kicked off what is shaping up to be a fantastic summer of wedding photography with Cassie and John, their family and friends for a really fun day in downtown Raleigh.

I love being a part of every single wedding I shoot, but this was an especially good day given that I was working in two totally new wedding venues for me: the Rose Garden at the Raleigh Little Theatre and The Stockroom at 230 in the heart of the city. Both spots offered lots of visual interest and features for some lovely photographs and we were spoilt rotten with some great weather. I seem to be dodging the storms pretty well this summer, which is always a bonus!

A lot of great people put a lot of work into pulling off a great event, but I want to say a special thanks to Tia at Erin McLean Events for looking after Rebecca and me so well. Also, to the fabulous crew of The Reality Show Band, thanks for some great tunes – the night flew by!

Cassie and John, thanks for having me along for the ride! It’s been lovely getting to know you over the last few months and I look forward to seeing you again soon. I wish you all the very best for a long and happy future together!
