Happy New Year, everyone! Hope you all had a good holiday season and got some quality R&R with your loved ones. Cristel, the kids, and I spent Christmas and New Year with our family down in Panama. We had a great time catching up with everyone and enjoyed our time in the sun by taking a trip to the amazing San Blas islands and lounging by the hotel pool drinking large quantities of Panamanian rum. Fun times!

So, it was a bit of a proverbial ice cube down the back when I flew back into RDU for Laura & Cadman’s Duke Chapel wedding, only to learn we were expecting up to 8″ of snow that day. Yowzers!

Luckily, everything on the big day ran relatively smoothly and we were able to get some fabulous pictures; Duke Chapel was still decked out in its beautiful Christmas decorations and everything looked so picturesque in the snow. Despite the ice, we even managed to make it outside for some pictures at the Washington Duke Inn as the sun set. It was a pretty amazing sight! Even still, with all the delays and the slippery conditions in the arcades at Duke Chapel, we didn’t get quite as many photos as I would have normally delivered, so we set up a post-wedding shoot in order to get some more bridal and couple pictures. It was only five days after the wedding, but the temperature the day we reconvened was a balmy 70ºF (about 21ºC for my people outside the USA). Quite a difference, which allowed us plenty of time to take some photos.
