Rain Stops Play – Well, actually it was the catalyst for a really fun (and different) engagement shoot with Melanie and Anthony. We met up at West End Wine Bar in Durham and were on our way out when the heavens opened and a summer rainstorm was suddenly unleashed upon us. It was a total downpour, so we headed back inside. The original plan was to wait it out, but as the rain never looked like letting up, we switched gears and started using the environment we were in for some portraits. Melanie and Anthony had originally wanted a vintage Hollywood vibe for their engagement session anyway, so we walked to some of the cool spots in downtown Durham – basically a mini pub crawl ;) – and used the available light to make some interesting images and a storyline. As you can see, they dressed the part and absolutely KILLED it.
