Tyler & Blake were married at a beautiful sunset ceremony by the lake at the Pavilion at Angus Barn. I met with up with Tyler at her home where she and her bridesmaids were getting ready. It’s always great fun hanging out with the girls and we had a lot of quality time to take some detail shots of the dress, shoes, etc. while they were getting their hair and makeup done. We then stepped outside for some group photos of the bridesmaids and individual shots with the bride before heading back in for some individual portraits using the gorgeous window light at Tyler’s house.

The Angus Barn is always a beautiful place to get married and we were blessed with a truly gorgeous September evening. As you can see, the sunset over the lake was simply amazing. The flipside was that when it came to doing the portraits of Tyler & Blake as newlyweds, the sun had set and we were pretty much working in darkness. It was definitely challenging, but the end result was that Tyler and Blake walked away with some pretty cool and unique images!

All in all, it was a great day and I’m pleased to finally be able to share some of my faves from the day. You’ll notice I’m showing more portraits than usual today, but, at the end of the day, these are the photos that really matter and often get overlooked: the people we love, the ones we choose to be by our sides on the most important day of our lives so far.
