Early last month, I kicked off the 2024 wedding season with Charlotte & Ethan’s beautifully intimate microwedding up in Asheville, NC. With just a handful of guests who had all flown in from England and China, this was a really lovely day full of love and good vibes. Being English myself, I really felt like I was amongst family, which meant everything was really relaxed and a lot of fun from start to finish.
Charlotte and Ethan had booked a mountaintop Airbnb for everyone to stay in and the views out over the valley and mountains in the distance were nothing short of amazing. We started off our time together with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, where respect and gratitude were paid to each of the family members.
After a quick change of clothes, Charlotte and Ethan shared a special first look in their wedding attire, and from there we headed outside for the ceremony itself. As a photographer, I always love unique touches to a wedding day, so it was great to document their traditional English/American mini wedding ceremony, complete with personalised vows that reflected their unique love story. From there, we headed inside to pop the champers and for the newlyweds to share their first dance. We then headed outside for family portraits and some pictures of the happy couple in the golden hour light.
Here are just a few of my picks of the pics. Huge congrats and lots of love to Charlotte and Ethan as they begin their new life together.
